Photography has been Roopinder Singh’s lifelong passion, shaped by cost, community, and an enduring desire to chronicle time. His journey began in the early 1970s with a basic Agfa Click III—a hesitant start fuelled by curiosity rather than gear. By the 1980s, he was recording history at the White House with a Nikon N2020.
In the decades since, his journalistic career has taken him across the globe, his equipment evolving alongside his craft. This selection is a record of moments spanning continents, captured by cameras that changed and an eye that matured. Whether serving as illustrations for his articles, the backbone of his books or providing the inspiration for the paintings in his latest illustrated volume, these images represent a lifetime of seeing.
