A meaningful symposium, Sagal Srisht Ki Chadar, was held in Chandigarh to commemorate the life, teachings, legacy, and supreme sacrifice of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.

Organised by the Prabandhak Committee of Gurdwara Patshashi Dasween, Sector 8-C, the event took place on 24 January 2026 at the IMA Auditorium, Dr. P. N. Chuttani Memorial Complex. Roopinder Singh spoke on “Illuminating the Path: Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s Journeys.”

The event was graced by H.E. Sh. Gulab Chand, Governor of Punjab, along with Justice Sheel Nagu (Chief Justice, Punjab & Haryana High Court), Justice Jasgurpreet Singh Puri, Justice K. S. Ahluwalia (Retd.), Dr. Kuldip Chand Agnihotri (Former Vice-Chancellor, HP Central University), Prof. Karamjit K. Malhotra (Punjabi University), and many other distinguished guests.

A highlight was the release of Salok Mahala 9, a beautifully produced volume that compiles Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s bani with translation.

A packed auditorium and thoughtful interventions from the speakers reflected the enduring relevance of Guru Sahib’s conviction, courage, and compassion, which led the head of a faith to choose to give up his life in advocating for others' right to practise their faith.
